Cannabis operations are rapidly expanding across the country, and states are struggling to stay ahead with appropriate regulations and inspections to ensure the safety of cannabis-infused products. The public also deserves to know about the safety of ingredients in cannabis and CBD products that are popping up in markets everywhere and purchased online, in capsules, tinctures, edibles, lotions and cartridges. As the lead technical advisor on cannabis for the National Environmental Health Association, and member of ASTM international cannabis standards development committee, our food safety consulting services, speaking and writings help cannabis companies, health departments and industry partners make sure that their procedures and products are safe for consumer use. We also help consumers understand how to discern the safety and efficacy of cannabis-based products, whether from marijuana or hemp. We believe in the controlled growth of this industry, with science-based regulations and standards, product testing and education, for the benefit and safety of all.
