Eastern Food Safety is partnered with a nationally recognized, ANSI-certified training company that can provide Online Food Manager training, and an online Food Manager Certification exam, which can be proctored remotely. This training and exam are current with the 2017 Food Code, as required by regulatory agencies.
You can study at your own pace from your own location or restaurant, and schedule your proctored exam when you are ready- no travel required, no contact necessary- and you can stay safe.
The training is instructor-led and interactive, featuring video discussions, restaurant tours, demonstrations, and quizzes. Topics include critical food safety practices and hazard prevention measures for cross-contamination, temperature controls, personal hygiene, warewashing, and sanitation. Each chapter is available in both videos and in written form. There is also an extensive library of downloadable restaurant charts and tools you can use to help manage food safety in your food establishment.
The training can be completed at your own pace, and takes between 6 to 8 hours, depending on knowledge and study level. At the end of the training, you will schedule your exam with the remote proctoring company, selecting a time slot convenient for you.
The exam consists of 80 multiple choice questions, and examinees must score 75% to pass the exam, and receive your ANSI approved Food Manager Certificate. The certification is nationally accepted and is valid for 5 years. Computer requirements: Internet Explorer 10 or higher, Chrome or Firefox, and Video camera.
